CURRENT POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
1:1 Aide - this is a full time position working directly with a severely emotionally disturbed child to assist the child in maintaining behavior control and enabling the child to participate within the classroom. The position requires an individual with a great deal of patience and understanding and skills in behavior management appropriate for emotionally disabled children. This position is temporary for the length of time the assistance is required by the child as determined by the child’s school district. There are no benefits other than mandated coverage. Salary is $49.00 per day worked. Full time, regular aide positions are filled by promotion from 1:1 Aide positions.
Substitute Teachers - teachers are required on a per diem, on-call basis to substitute for our teachers in our special education classrooms for emotionally disturbed children when the teacher is absent. Requirements include a valid New York State Education Department Teaching License, preferably in Special Education and teaching experience. Substitute teachers will be called when necessary before 8:30 AM on the days they are needed. Salary is $100.00 per day worked. There are no benefits.
Substitute Aides - aides are required on a per diem, on-call basis to substitute for our classroom aides when they are absent. Requirements include patience and understanding and the ability to relate appropriately to emotionally disturbed children. Substitute aides will be called when necessary before 8:30 AM on the days they are needed. Salary is $49.00 per day worked. There are no benefits. Substitute aides are needed regularly
